Motivational Speaker

Michael Estepa will be providing a funny insight into his time as a Pats Boy to the latest
generation of 10th graders in his former high school. He will be sharing with them his time
as a student, what to expect as they enter their final years as seniors, as well as life after
high school. He will also be sharing his life before, during and after writing his book, “Purged

Helpful Hints to Surviving your HSC

Gangs and Drugs Lecture

Michael Estepa will be giving a lecture to year 10 students that will focus on the realities of gangs
(how they work, what they do, their influence on modern society, etc) and will also be giving a
lecture on the drugs sold by these gangs (heroin, cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, etc) explaining the
short and long term effects/damage these drugs have on your body. This lecture is designed to

First Class Tutoring

Writing Creatively for the HSC

Michael Estepa has been invited by his publisher and will be attending The Book Expo America under the banner of the Strategic Book Group. The New York Book Expo will be held from May 25 – 27. Michael Estepa will be holding a lecture for Year 12 HSC students about the themes associated with his book (Purged by Darkness) and the characters in relation to their theme of Belonging as a related text. Michael Estepa has teamed up with Pump Up Your Book Promotions under the guidance of Dorothy Thompson to promote his book, Purged by Darkness. Michael will be touring the virtual web to promote his book and answer questions during the months of November and January.
SBS FILIPINO RADIO INTERVIEW
November 28, 2009 (9pm)
Michael Estepa’s pre-recorded interview that took place two weeks ago will be broadcasted nationally and aired live on November 28, 2009, 9pm on 97.7 FM. He will be discussing things like his life, why he wrote Purged by Darkness, how he got published and what’s next. The host will be narrating the interview in Filipino; however, when Michael answers it will be in English.
First Class Tutoring
Michael Estepa has been invited by First Class Tutoring to hold 2 workshops to discuss his book, Purged by Darkness to be used as a related text for grade 12 students in the HSC English subject – “Belonging”. Michael will also hold a third workshop for grade 6 – 7 students about creative writing. To will be interviewed on the local Liverpool – Fairfield (Australia) city radio 2GLF 89.3 FM this Wednesday, November 11. The live interview will start 4:10pm.
Achievers Day

Michael Estepa will be one of four guest speakers to take part in the event organised by Whitlam Library. Along with other ex – students, Michael will be speaking to current students (grade 7 - 9) from Patrician Brothers College Fairfield about his experiences in high school, what he’s achieved since leaving and so forth.
